In Loving Memory
Willow came to us after being saved from a hoarding case in another state. She was estimated 15 years old. She did not like any of the other dogs, so we had to keep her separately from everyone else. She lived 11 spoiled days. She ate good meals, got carried around by her daddy when her legs wouldn’t work, sunbathed, and lounged on the king bed like she owned it. 11 days wasn’t enough.
Willow
We didn’t have a lot of information on Nana. We were asked to take her on and we said yes. She was in rough shape. As soon as she arrived we put her on a fluffy dog bed with lots of blankets and a heating pad under them all. We then fed her a steak dinner and snuggled her all night long. She passed away in her sleep but was surrounded by love and comfort for those last few hours.
Nana
Ribbit came from a local shelter. It was her last day before being euthanized and she had no interest at all. She did not want to be part of a pack at first. But with patience, understanding, and a little help from some medication she finally blended right in. We did get 3 years with this girl. She was a good girl.

Cricket was only supposed to be a two week foster. She was estimated over 10 years old when we picked her up from the local shelter. The rescue who had stepped up for her backed out once we realized she was deaf. After that she became a permanent resident and we got 2 ½ great years with her. She was Paislee’s constant companion and her person.

Rudy spent almost a full year in boarding. We stepped up to get him out of boarding and in a loving environment. He was a hurricane but full of so much love. He was the snuggliest bull dog and boy did he love his momma. We only had this boy for 3 short months before finding out he had a severe abdominal mass and had to say goodbye. Those 3 months were the best of his life and some of the best of ours.

This girl was nothing but sass and pretty much only showed love to her daddy. The rest of us were her servants and she put us to work, that’s for sure. She loved her friend King Arthur so very much. We had 15 months with her antics. We loved this golden girl so much. She was found in TR covered in mats and maggots. When the vet asked us to take her and love, we couldn’t say no.
Blanche
This boy. He stole the hearts of everyone who ever met him or even those who didn’t but got to see his sweet pictures and updates along the way. He came from a shelter in Atlanta. Someone found him dragging his back legs in downtown. They couldn’t find a reason for his paralysis but already had plans to euthanize if no one stepped up. My rescue friend sent his information to me and said they had a wheelchair that would fit him if we could find space at our house for him. Well we can’t say no and thank goodness because he quickly became the biggest part of our home. He loved being outside in his wheelchair. He didn’t care if it was hot, raining, snowing, or any other form of inclement weather. We wouldn’t allow him to stay out in those conditions but if he thought for one second we were going to bring him inside, he would run from us and he was quick. He loved tennis balls, stuffed animals, dog toys, and any kind of food he was offered. We were able to keep him going for 11 months. The sadness and grief we felt from not getting more time was tremendous. He was so much work but all that work was more than worth the love and happiness he gave back to us every single day that he was ours.
Lieutenant Dan
This boy was incredible. Estimated 10-12 years old when he arrived. We were lucky enough to have him for 14 months. He loved to snuggle and loved sitting outside. No matter how hot it was, that’s where he wanted to be. You normally could find him out there with his grandpa keeping him company.
King Arthur
Tilly came to us from a local rescue that saved her from a shelter. She had high anxiety but we know the trick to calming that down. She was a sweet old lady that loved every human she met and loved when it was time to settle down and snuggle. We had her for 7 months. We wish it would have been longer.

Maple also came from a local rescue who saved her from a shelter. This girl was so happy, loving, and was very food motivated. We only had the pleasure of having her for 9 weeks but in those 9 weeks, we hope she forgot all the bad days that came before.
